How To Obtain NOC from Fire Department
The process goes as follows:
Choose the most appropriate mode of NOC application, i.e. either online or offline mode.
If the state authority asks you to opt for online mode, then go online.
Submit all the documents as well as fees online.
If you opt for offline mode, hand over all the documents to the Chief Fire Officer or the Fire Service Department.
Documents to be submitted are:
Building architecture plan or blueprint of the proposed building.
Site plan, with the property analysis report.
Building model
Xerox of Adhaar card
Xerox of PAN card
Pictures of the building interiors
Pictures of the building exteriors
Details about building wiring
Other analysis reports, if any
After the Chief Fire Officer verifies the documents, he submits them to the concerned state chief officer or inspector.
The state chief officer then visits the property for a fire safety audit. Once this step is successfully completed and the building is found to comply with the fire safety measures, the NOC is issued.
What Is The Validity Of The NOC
For Commercial Buildings: The NOC is valid for a period of 3 years.
For Residential Buildings: The NOC is valid for a period of 5 years.
How To Renew The NOC
Renew the NOC online, if it was applied online in the first place.
Renew the NOC offline, if it was applied offline.
Along with the application form, the applicant has to submit a declaration stating that all the electric installations are complied with.
In case of delays in applying for renewal, the applicant has to pay a penalty as mentioned by the state authority.
